How to fundraise online

Setting up a fundraising page

Its so easy. People can donate, leave you a supportive message, and the donation, including any Gift Aid, automatically gets sent to Young Epilepsy.

JustGiving

Facebook Fundraiser

Other sites to include such as Twitch and Enthuse

Add a profile picture

Add a profile picture that can easily be recognised as you. Your profile picture is very important, it will reassure people they have landed on the right fundraising page and give them confidence to donate.

Tell people 'why' you are fundraising

Include a short paragraph or even a film telling the story of why you are fundraising.  What was your motivation and what are you going to do to raise the funds?

Explain how their donation will make a difference

By raising money for Young Epilepsy you are helping thousands of children and young people with epilepsy to get the help they need when they need it.

Childhood epilepsy is frightening, isolating and often misunderstood.   We work with children and young people with epilepsy, to ensure their voices are heard and their rights protected.

We campaign for children’s rights. We deliver health services and research that improves diagnosis and treatments. We support  children and young people throughout school, college, and university. We provide information, friendly advice, and practical help for living everyday life.

Set a fundraising target

Keep the page up to date:

  • Include any donations you've raised offline
  • For challenge events, if you are using the Strava app to track your training, you can add this to your JustGiving page. To help people see how hard you are working
