Support & Inclusion

Helping young people with epilepsy thrive

Living with epilepsy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. Our youth support services are designed to help young people aged 8–25 build confidence, manage challenges, and connect with others who understand. Whether it’s through one-to-one sessions, group activities or creative projects, we’re here to listen and empower you to take charge of your journey.

Support for schools and educators

We know that teachers and school staff play a vital role in helping young people with epilepsy feel safe and included. That’s why we offer free eLearning, classroom resources, and practical tools to help you understand epilepsy and support your students effectively. From managing seizures in school to making reasonable adjustments for exams and activities, we’re here to help you create a truly inclusive learning environment.

Helping parents and carers navigate the journey

As a parent or carer, you want the best for your child—and that includes making sure they’re supported at school and beyond. We provide guidance on your child’s rights, how to work with schools, and how to access the support they need. You can also refer your child directly to our youth services if they’re struggling with confidence, friendships, or school life.

Why inclusion matters

Every child and young person has the right to learn, play and grow. But too often, young people with epilepsy are excluded from school trips, sports, or even lessons—just because of misunderstandings or fear. We’re working to change that. Inclusion isn’t just about access—it’s about belonging. And with the right support, every young person can thrive.
