Young Epilepsy joined the other finalists and a great many menopause friendly employers at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London on Wednesday September 11, 2024 as Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace hosted the prestigious Menopause Friendly Employer Awards ceremony.  The evening was powered by headline sponsor Peppy alongside category sponsors: Boots and the No 7 Beauty Company, British Airways, Mars, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Specsavers, Theramex and Vitabiotics Menopace.

The Menopause Friendly Employer Awards celebrate and recognise excellence among organisations and individuals going above and beyond to support menopause in the workplace. TV and radio presenter Lisa Snowdon directed proceedings as over 400 guests attended in person and via live link from across the country.

Now in its third year, the 2024 Menopause Friendly Employer Awards were judged by the Menopause Friendly Independent Panel who were looking for both innovation and evidence of the impact and positive change achieved within the workplace.

The extensive range of this year’s winners included two county councils and a charity alongside a football club, police force and aerospace company.

The Best Engagement Approach Award goes to the organisation that has innovatively developed campaigns or initiatives to foster positive, creative and engaging perceptions of menopause in the workplace, integrating it into everyday working life.

Young Epilepsy was presented with its award by sponsor, Susanne Bisinotto, Brand Marketing Director, Vitabiotics Menopace and Independent Panel Member Paul Starbuck of Starbuck Associates, who said:

I would like to extend my congratulations to the Young Epilepsy charity for winning this category. This year saw fantastic examples of creative, engaging and inclusive ways organisations are encouraging their workforce to join in with their menopause approach. This category is focused on the importance of presenting menopause positively at work directly impacting on how colleagues feel about themselves.

The Menopause Friendly Employer Awards shine a spotlight on the incredible work being done by members of the Menopause Friendly Membership and Accreditation.
