What are you looking for?

Having epilepsy should not stop you from making the most out of life. However, seizures, stigma and other factors can make it scary to get out and about.

If you want to travel, you might worry about how your epilepsy will affect you in a distant, unfamiliar place. If you want a night out, you could have concerns about missing your meds or the pressure to drink. Even taking a bus might make you anxious about having a seizure in front of strangers.

All these worries are normal, but remember you are not alone. Other young people with epilepsy have great guidance on how to prepare for getting out and enjoying life, allowing you to enjoy your independence, social life and mental health.
