Purple Day 2020

 PD banner

Purple Day - international epilepsy day - returns on Thursday 26 March 2020, and here at Young Epilespy, we want to make it the biggest yet!

To help raise vital funds and awareness to support as many children and young people, tell us what your purple moment will be this Purple Day and #GoPurple. It could be a purple cake bake, purple plod, purple plunge, purple dress down, purple hair day or turn your school, town or office purple or take part in our new 26 miles in 26 days challenge.

What your support is doing:

There are huge concerns among parents that schools are not able to properly support young people with epilepsy, whether that's in seizure first aid or preparing for how epilepsy can affect mental health.

Without the right support, young people with epilepsy are much more likely to struggle in their academic life and are kept from reaching their full potential.

As part of the WINS Project (What I Need in School), Young Epilepsy has been speaking to young people, parents, and teachers to develop guidelines for schools to properly support young people with epilepsy, so every child can achieve their academic potential.

Projects like this one are supported by money raised on Purple Day. By getting involved, you can make a huge practical difference to a young person's everyday life.
