We're here for you
Have you just been diagnosed with epilepsy? Struggling to adapt to your medication, or to get your seizures under control? You may struggle with your emotions and how to deal with your epilepsy. School or college may not understand how to support you.
Epilepsy can impact your life in so many ways, that is why we are here to help.
One-to-one Youth Support
The support you receive will be adapted to meet your needs. You might need someone to listen and provide you with information and tools to help you manage and understand your condition. Maybe you need support with challenges you're facing at school or college. Or maybe you need more intensive support. We provide tailored support to help you navigate the challenges of living with epilepsy, ensuring you have the resources and guidance you need to thrive
Who is it for
One-to-one Youth Support is primarily for young people and children living with epilepsy aged 10 to 18 years old.
You will meet with a highly skilled Youth Support Coordinator and depending on your personal need, you may have between two to twelve sessions.
What happens next?
Anyone can submit a referral form for one-to-one youth support; you can apply yourself, or your parent or a professional who works with you can refer you.
We review referrals every two weeks. Based on the information you provide we will assess the kind of support you need from Young Epilepsy or sign post you to another support service that better suits your needs.
