Emergency Medication Training for Teachers
A half-day course for teachers, to increase their understanding of epilepsy as a long-term condition, and demonstrate how to administer emergency medication.
The course will be delivered by an experienced Epilepsy Specialist Nurse and will include the following:
- Introduction to epilepsy
- Different types of seizure
- Causes and triggers
- First Aid for convulsive seizures
- Risks including SUDEP and Status Epilepticus
- Practical sessions on administering Buccal Midazolam and Rectal Diazepam
The training will take place at our Lingfield Campus.
Cost of training: £50 per delegate
