Medication Training

Emergency Medication Training for Teachers

A half-day course for teachers, to increase their understanding of epilepsy as a long-term condition, and demonstrate how to administer emergency medication.

The course will be delivered by an experienced Epilepsy Specialist Nurse and will include the following:

  • Introduction to epilepsy
  • Different types of seizure
  • Causes and triggers
  • First Aid for convulsive seizures
  • Risks including SUDEP and Status Epilepticus
  • Practical sessions on administering Buccal Midazolam and Rectal Diazepam

 

The training will take place at our Lingfield Campus.

Cost of training: £50 per delegate
