Hear Her Voice Live event - Exploring the impact of epilepsy on women and girls

Hear Her Voice

Exploring the impact of epilepsy on women and girls, ensuring their voices are heard.

Last year we launched Hear Her Voice – our first-ever event dedicated to the experiences of women, girls and mothers navigating epilepsy.

This inspiring event returns for 2026, building on the success of last year to create an even bigger platform for voices that matter.

Attend Hear Her Voice

Hosted by Edith Bowman, the event brings together families, professionals, changemakers, philanthropists and features powerful panel discussions on stigma, representation and issues specific to women and girls living with epilepsy.

What's wonderful is that it's something that I can talk to people about and I think that a really important message is conversation - being open about it and feeling like you're not alone, that you have people that you can turn to.
Edith Bowman, Host of Her Her Voice

Why Hear Her Voice Matters

Every story matters. With Hear Her Voice, we’re bringing together women and girls living with epilepsy to share their experiences, explore the issues that affect them, and connect with others who understand. Join us for this year’s panel talk and brunch as we celebrate courage, community, and voices that make a difference.

Across the UK, more than 150,000 girls and young women under 25 are affected by epilepsy - either living with the condition themselves or caring for a young person who is.

Just because I have epilepsy, doesn't mean you have to treat me differently.
