When Young Epilepsy met Olympian, Beth Dobbin

Olympic Athlete, Beth Dobbin, experienced a large seizure 13 years ago, which affected her movement, speech and memory and resulted with some time spent in hospital.

“For me, when I look at what I’ve achieved now, it means so much more because of where I was.

I think for anyone going through something similar, stay positive with it, you can really surprise yourself with what you can achieve. So, keep going and make sure you are doing something that you love.”

Beth has been competing in the Tokyo Olympics and we are wishing her the best of luck for her future races. She is showing that despite living with epilepsy, nothing will stop her achieving her dreams!
