Young Epilepsy launches on-line seizure diary for teenagers
Young Epilepsy has today launched a new on-line
seizure diary to help teenagers and young people that have epilepsy.
The password-protected diary, www.youngepilepsydiary.org.uk, is free to use and enables teenagers to keep a record of their seizures and how the condition affects them. This information can be printed off as a report and shared with medical professionals treating the user.
The on-line diary has been produced with support from pharmaceutical company Sanofi Aventis and on-line healthcare publishers PharmiWeb Solutions. It enables the user to record when they have a seizure, what triggered it, how long it lasted and how they felt afterwards.
The website can be personalised with a profile picture and other details and features links to Facebook and Twitter. It also features facts and information about the condition.
The on-line diary’s launch follows the launch of All About Me, a hard-copy diary partly funded by the Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity that is available free to teenagers. If you would like a copy of All About Me, email info@Young Epilepsy.org.uk.
