Young Epilepsy Impresses the Inspectors
School care provision awarded Outstanding Ofsted grade - FE provision awarded Good from CQC.
Young Epilepsy has been awarded an
Outstanding grade by Ofsted for its 39 week school care provision.
Inspectors were particularly impressed with the staff's confidence and competence at caring for young people with complex needs, as well as the individual delivery of care according to need and the respect and dignity shown to the young people.
Head of Care for Residential Special School Services at Young Epilepsy, Gill Walters, said,
We are absolutely delighted at being awarded a000n Outstanding Ofsted grade. The whole team constantly works so hard to ensure the very best care for the young people living at Young Epilepsy and this grade is testament to that. I am extremely proud of everyone involved.

The Care Quality Commission also conducted an unannounced inspection covering all of Young Epilepsy's residential homes for young adults. The overall grade was a
2 star good service.
