Want to be on a TV programme about epilepsy?

Want to be on TV? We’ve had a request from Channel 4 looking to feature a family with a child with epilepsy in one of its programmes. Please note Young Epilepsy is simply forwarding the request and will not be involved in the programme:

Channel 4’s award winning Embarrassing Bodies is producing a 4 part special series looking at children’s health (under 13s); as part of the series we are very keen to feature an item about epilepsy and are hoping to find a family with a child who has the condition who would be happy for us to spend some time filming with them.

In part, the item would be fly-on-the-wall, the aim being to show how the condition can affect not just the person with epilepsy but the whole family’s routine – if indeed it does. We would also give the family a chance to speak openly and honestly about things; it is our intention that this item be as frank as possible and we are keen to tackle any stigmas that might exist or answer questions that people in general might have but are too embarrassed (or polite even) to ask.
