The federation of master builders take a trip through time for Young Epilepsy

The UK’s largest builder’s trade organisation, The Federation of Master Builders, celebrated Christmas in style as they hosted their annual ball in support of Young Epilepsy.

The event which adopted the theme London through the ages, took place at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in Hyde Park on Saturday 20 December 2008 and helped to raise £4,000 for the children and young people at Young Epilepsy.

Guests were welcomed by Dickensian carol singers and were then whisked away on a journey through the ages as they enjoyed entertainment by an array of historical themed guests including Charlie Chaplin and 1920’s cabaret dancers.

The entertainment came to a breathtaking climax as guests greeted a spectacular marching band display by the Minden Guards of the Queens Division with a sea of waving flags.

Young Epilepsy’s Fundraising and Events Manager, Shelley Green, attended the event and accepted the cheque on behalf of the charity, commenting: I would like to express my sincere thanks to The Federation of Master Builders and its President for choosing to support Young Epilepsy. We are so honored to be part of such a fantastic event and your generous support will help to make a huge difference to the children and young people in our care.
