MPs from across the UK are being urged to change the lives of people with epilepsy by supporting a Ten Minute Rule Bill in Parliament tomorrow (Wednesday 24 November 2010).
Epilepsy charity The Young Epilepsy (Young Epilepsy) has won a national building award this week for its state of the art Neville Childhood Epilepsy Centre.
The Centre opened in November 2009 on Young Epilepsy’s Lingfield campus. It is the only specialist paediatric epilepsy centre in the UK and hosts medical, nursing, diagnostic and rehabilitation services for under 19s with epilepsy and other neurological conditions. It is also the base for a coordinated programme of research with the Institute of Child Health at University College London.
The Young Epilepsy is delighted to host Mind the Gap 2011 under the direction of Professor Brian Neville on Thursday 3 February 2011, 9am to 5pm.

Young Epilepsy today welcomed the latest Coronation Street storyline about 19 year-old David Platt being diagnosed with epilepsy - and highlighted the triple whammy facing young people with the condition.
Ten year old Jordan Takpi has launched his second book,
Shakershock – the Adventure of a Superhero at Thorpe Park. Jordan, from East London, is one of Britain’s youngest authors. He began writing books at the age of 6 and has penned his second publication at the age of 10; he is also living with epilepsy.
