An enlightening and informative documentary about childhood epilepsy is to be broadcast this Sunday evening.

Much of the documentary, called NHS Advances in Childhood Epilepsy, was filmed at Young Epilepsy’s headquarters in Surrey. It features significant contributions from Young Epilepsy Chief Executive David Ford, The Prince of Wales’s Chair of Childhood Epilepsy Professor Helen Cross and also Julie Harden whose son, Elliot, is a student at St Piers School.

Dravet Syndrome in the Daily Express

Today’s Daily Express newspaper contains an article about a young girl called Ceili Irwin who has Dravet Syndrome.

Dravet is a neurological condition that can cause epileptic seizures and Ceili eats 103g of fat a day to help manage her condition. While some people benefit from following such a diet, it is only suitable for a small number of people.
