Between Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 April 2017, Young Epilepsy was proud to host their annual two-day Research Masterclass.
A massive thank you to everyone who signed up and came along on the day to raise funds, awareness and support those living with epilepsy.
The reason Team Parry, consisting of mum, dad, Arla and their own cheer squad, took part in Purple Walk is to support their brave 22-month-old daughter Arla who lives with Dravet Syndrome.
Rich was nine years old when he was first diagnosed with nocturnal seizures. His family were shocked and felt guilty for not picking up the indicators sooner – particularly as his mother has partial and complex epilepsy.
On Sunday, Professor Helen Cross OBE, The Prince of Wales’s Chair of Childhood Epilepsy, was presented with the prestigious Sidney Carter Award in Child Neurology by the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) during the 69th AAN Annual Meeting.
Our phenomenal 13 athletes completed the Virgin London Marathon on behalf of Young Epilepsy. Our supporters who were part of the record breaking 40,000 runners, put on a purple vest to take on the tough 26.2 mile route through the capital.
The London Marathon has finally arrived for our runners. Months and months of dedicated training have finally come to an end all in preparation for today.

Thousands of runners will grace the streets for the London Marathon this Sunday, 23 April. The challenging 26.2 mile route goes through the heart of London finishing in Westminster, near Buckingham Palace.
