Epilepsy support in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Essex
Connect Project: support for young people
Young people with epilepsy face discrimination, social isolation and low self-esteem.
The Connect project is for 0-25 year olds in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire or Essex and provides emotional and social support for young people with epilepsy and their families.
Young people are supported to be less isolated and lonely, and to be more socially integrated, which may lead them to be be more independent as parents are better able to cope with the condition.
Officers will provide better access to services and experience less exclusions and discrimination.
