Welcome to Young Epilepsy’s COVID-19 Asymptomatic Testing Site (ATS)

Signage is in place on Campus to guide you to the ATS.

Arrival Area

On arrival you will be asked if you have any COVID-19 symptoms; if you have had a lateral flow device (LFD) test before; if you have a smart phone and if you will need any support.

You will be asked to sanitise your hands and provided with a fluid repellent surgical mask if you do not have one.

You will be asked to wait in the Arrival Area until a Testing Station becomes available.

You will then be called through to the Testing Area.

Keep your face mask on at all times except when taking your swab.

Testing Area

You will be assigned to a Testing Station, number 1, 2 or 3.

At the Testing Station you will find all the items you need to complete your LFD test.

Written and verbal instructions will be provided and support is available if required.

Results Processing Area

Once you have started processing your sample, the ATS Operative will collect the LFD cartridge from you and take it to the Results Processing Area.

You will then go to the Waiting Area.

Waiting Area

Results take 30 minutes to process.

In the Waiting Area you can make a start at registering your test.

All the information you need to register will be on display but please ask if you are unsure.

Once processed, the ATS Operative will notify you discreetly of your result. Results take 30 minutes to process and you are asked to remain in the Waiting Area until your result is ready.

Results

If you test negative you can proceed onto Campus or go back to work (visitors and contractors to then follow usual sign-in process)

If your test result is invalid you will be directed to retake the test

If your test result is positive you will need to take/arrange to take a confirmatory PCR test. The ATS Operative will support you through this process. After the test, you must self-isolate at home until you get your results, and then continue to self-isolate if positive. You must provide evidence of your test result to Young Epilepsy.
