St Piers School
An introduction to St Piers School
Young Epilepsy's campus in Lingfield, Surrey includes St Piers School.
St Piers is a non-maintained special school providing residential and day places. Together with our St Piers College, it lets around 200 children and young people aged 5 - 19 enjoy an education, and life and social experiences.
We understand the impact epilepsy and other neurological conditions can have on a young person’s development – so our multidisciplinary team of teaching, medical and care staff provide tailored support designed to help each individual to achieve at their highest possible level.
Helping every child live life to the full
Students' education, emotional, cultural, physical and health needs are met through a multi-disciplinary approach involving specialist teams of teachers/student support workers, nurses, psychologists, speech and language therapists, play specialists and support staff.
As Ofsted says the School provides outstanding care, support and guidance for all its pupils resulting in their excellent behaviour and high quality personal development. Pupils thrive in its happy working environment.
Our specialism has traditionally been epilepsy, but we now use our expertise and multidisciplinary approach to cater for a wider range of complex neurological conditions including autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), as well as complex epilepsy.
Most students are funded by their Local Authority, supported by Health and Social Care.
