World Champion Dai wins gold for Young Epilepsy
Young Epilepsy ambassador and World Champion 400 metre hurdler, Dai Greene, has got 2012 off to a running start by representing Young Epilepsy in an Olympics special of The Cube.
Dai, who is tipped to bring home gold at this year’s Olympics, chose Young Epilepsy as his nominated charity for the show, which will be broadcast in the spring. Raising an amount which will be kept top secret until the show is broadcast, Dai tackled a series of tasks – each one worth a cash prize - in a giant cube. Players start with nine lives in their bid to reach the ultimate jackpot of £250,000.
Dai Greene said: Participating on the cube was a very enjoyable experience and it was all for a great cause. Young Epilepsy deserve all the support they can get as they do such a great job! I hope that the money I raised will also contribute to that.
Lisa Farmer, Director of Fundraising, said: “Everyone at Young Epilepsy is absolutely thrilled that Dai has picked us as his charity and for him to represent us on a national show like The Cube is fantastic. We are incredibly grateful for his support as the money he raised will provide vital support to children and young people in the UK living with epilepsy.
The next big game for Dai will be his role in the 2012 Olympics and all of us here are fully behind him every step of the way!
