For Professionals

We're here to help healtheducation and other professionals provide support for children and young people with epilepsy. We offer information services, training, resources and events.  Working together we can create a society in which all children and young people with epilepsy are fully included in education, have access to the best health services and get the care and support they need to thrive and fulfil their ambitions.

Epilepsy can be one of the most frightening and isolating conditions a child or young person can experience. The loss of any sense of safety, living in an unpredictable world, not knowing when their next seizure will happen.

Around 100,000 children and young people aged 25 and under have epilepsy in the UK. That’s about one in every 200 children. For them life can be very different from that of other young people around them. It can take its toll on their physical and mental health, as well as impacting their education and social life. Many children with epilepsy are missing out.
