NICE guidelines

The National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) produce guidance for health professionals to follow when diagnosing and treating patients.

NICE Clinical Guidance 137 relates to the management of children and adults with epilepsy in primary and secondary care.

It gives guidance on what should happen when a child presents with seizures, when they need to be referred to a specialist and what treatments should be considered.

The full guidelines are available from NICE
