Seizure diary

Young Epilepsy has launched the teen diary All About Me on-line to help teenagers and young people that have epilepsy.

sample pages from Young Epilepsy's All About Me online seizure diary

The password-protected diary, www.youngepilepsydiary.org.uk, is free to use and enables teenagers to keep a record of their seizures and how the condition affects them. This information can be printed off as a report and shared with medical professionals treating the user.

The on-line diary has been produced with support from pharmaceutical company Sanofi Aventis and on-line healthcare publishers PharmiWeb Solutions. It enables the user to record when they have a seizure, what triggered it, how long it lasted and how they felt afterwards.

The website can be personalised with a profile picture and other details and features link to Facebook and Twitter. It also features facts and information about the condition.

The on-line diary’s launch follows the launch of All About Me, a hard-copy diary partly funded by the Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity and is available free to teenagers.

Teen seizure diary

Seizure DiaryThe new teenage seizure diary All about me is now available from Young Epilepsy.

It has been specifically designed and written for teenagers between the ages of 13 and 19, and helps them monitor their seizures (sometimes known as epileptic fits) and take control of their epilepsy.

It’s written in a light hearted way and filled with fun facts, jokes and epilepsy information on everything from sports activities to socialising. There are hints and tips for those living with epilepsy through the teenage years and also space for recording thoughts and feelings, and also any ‘triggers’ for seizures.

All About Me features real people with epilepsy (some famous) who have been through epilepsy in their teens and are now working in a variety of careers.

This diary is available free of charge by calling 01342 832243 ext. 508 or by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Can't wait to give my daughter her copy and test it out, but I have read it from cover to cover and there is a vast amount of work on display - wonderfully witty, wise, well calibrated.
